Seismic safety of prefabricated reinforced-concrete halls - experimental study

Matej Fischinger, Miha Kramar, Tatjana Isaković

Abstract

Pseudodynamic and cyclic tests, conducted on full-scale models of typical single-storey prefabricated reinforced-concrete halls, are presented. Connections are designed using an appropriate bearingcapacity planning procedure. The seismic resistance and vulnerability values are presented, and a systematic study of seismic risk is made. The results have enabled critical assessment and improvement of relevant Eurocode 8 requirements. Experimental results are analyzed in this paper, which is the first of two related papers.
