New structures of large-span prefabricated arch bridges
Abstract
Structural and technological aspects in the construction of large-span arch bridges, characterized by the use of prefabricated segments and reactive powder concrete, are described. Segments are realized by concreting corresponding joints, and are then linked with epoxy resins and prestressed with external steel bars but only in the joint zone. Arches are erected by radial suspension of cantilevers over abutment piers, while beams are realized by two-sided pushing without traditional nose, with simultaneous positioning of piers from the beam and regulation of the grade line.
